  • Kulu

    13 Julai 2023, India ⋅ ⛅ 24 °C

Unbelievable views flying into Kulu from Dehli. Record flooding occurred last week, which caused considerable damage to roads, property, and the countryside side. On a brighter note Shane also got to meet his favourite adventure movie maker from India.Baca lagi

  • Manali

    13 Julai 2023, India ⋅ ⛅ 15 °C

Made it to Manali after a 4.5-hour taxi rider to cover 50km. All due to road collapses. India has to have the worst drivers , no courtesy. Everyone competes for the same section of road and goes where they like, but no road rage and somehow it works. Will make for interesting motorcycling. Thankfully, because of poor roads, the speeds are lowBaca lagi

  • Jispa

    14 Julai 2023, India ⋅ ⛅ 7 °C

Manali to Jispa. Only a bit over 90km but all day to get here. First delays due to road closure and then fuel problems on one bike. Found a good bike mechanic, and the journey resumed. Constantly climbing through the mountains,we are now around 3700m. Went through Atal Tunnel, the world's longest tunnel above 10,000 feetBaca lagi

  • Leh

    15 Julai 2023, India ⋅ ⛅ 18 °C

The plan was to travel from Jispa to Padum, however, due to a section of the Padum road being washed away, we decided to go straight to Leh. The 335km took 12 hours.First going over Baralacha La pass at 15941 ft. Slow riding due to poor road conditions. Stopped at Pang for lunch . Leaving Pang, we ascended to the Moreh plains, 15584 ft, then up over Taglang La pass in Ladakh 17842 ft. With everyone suffering the effects of altitude sickness it was a challenging but spectacular day of riding.Baca lagi

  • Diskit via Khardung La Pass

    18 Julai 2023, India ⋅ ☀️ 19 °C

Khardungla Pass 5602 mtrs, left Leh and made the climb in brilliant weather, hung about at the top for around 30 mins before descending to Nth Pullu for breakfast of momo’s, omelette and fried rice, the best lemon, ginger , honey tea so far.

Cold up top, but baking in the valley, staying at Diskit in the Nubra Valley tonight, before making our way to Pangong Lake tomorrow.

Great riding, stunning vistas & friendly people

  • Padum

    22 Julai 2023, India ⋅ ☁️ 12 °C

Spectacular ride up over two passes then down following the river. We were not entirely sure the road was open after overnight rain, but chancing it rewarded us with the best and most varied riding so far. Mother nature did not disappoint us providing incredible scenes in the form of massive rock structures pushed up mellinium ago.Baca lagi

  • Idaipur

    24 Julai 2023, India ⋅ ☁️ 11 °C

The plan was to travel to Killar, however a large rockfall between Udaipur and Killar stopped us. After waiting 4.5 hours for the road crews to clear the road, it was evident the large rocks would not be cleared for a couple of days. We returned to Udaipur to overnight lodgings. Quite a challenging road, averaged 15-20 kph.Baca lagi

  • Keylong

    25 Julai 2023, India ⋅ ☁️ 13 °C

Back to Keylong to dry the riding gear out, do some washing, and check the bikes over. We have to rethink our travel routes because of road closures. Everyone is looking forward to the rest day.

  • Killar

    29 Julai 2023, India ⋅ ☁️ 28 °C

Rest day in Killar. Found a mechanic to repair Shane's gear change, which broke when he hit a rock yesterday. Explored the town and were dumbfounded or shocked by the construction methods and standards of lack thereof. It seems to work though, at least in IndiaBaca lagi

  • Kishtwar

    30 Julai 2023, India ⋅ ☀️ 26 °C

114km from Killar to Kishtwar in Cashmir took the better part of 8 hours to complete. The signature Cliff Hanger Road has been closed for a year, and a new road now runs above it. The views and scenery are still worth the ride. The ride was not without drama as Shanes drone ran out of battery mid flight and landed itself 100m below us on steep precarious ground. Thankfully, we managed to retrieve it, but that was the end of drone flying for the rest of the dayBaca lagi

  • Chamba (2)

    31 Julai 2023, India ⋅ ⛅ 24 °C

Left Kishtwar early at 6.30 went via Doda, Bhaderwah then somewhat unintentionally on a sublime forested back road to Chamba arriving 4pm.

Beautiful valleys, villages, goat herders, no traffic at all, huge trees, clean air and the faint smell of pine.

A great days riding, but another long day in the saddle, and happy to have arrived ok.

The 3 Idiots team is in good spirits, having some good laughs along the way.

Had an amusing hour this morning with some guy wanting to race us,he would round us up, and at each speed bump we would all pass him again, Darrells Moto GP commentary had us in fits.

Overall a great day, tired but happy.
