Long necks & Parakeets

Impromptu trip to Ohio to see critters. Diane was a big hit with the birds. We went back an extra time to visit them. They loved her shoestrings too. We fed giraffes from the car. Watched pigs race. Had some ice cream. Bought a really silly looking cross between a ostrich and a turkey stuffed bird. Checked out all the critters basically. We had a great time. We are both suckers for cheesy tourist traps. They are just old fashioned fun. On the way there we stopped for lunch at the vagabond restaurant. What a blast from the past. It was a bit off the main drag but it was worth the trip back in time. It was like every restaurant was back in the sixties. It really reminded me of being a kid and going out to eat almost every day.Read more
