The historical society invited mike love, the owner of Dillinger's stolen sheriff car to bring it to the parking lot across from the historical society's place downtown. We talked to him for quiet a while. It was very interesting. One of those special times that only happen so rarely. Neat car and neat stories. He will be taking it to the Auburn museum for display for a while. He has never been there.Les mer

To end the busy Donna and Bill weekend (Halloween no less!) we went to the Van Gogh immersive experience at the Lume. We also went to the Phoenix Theater. No proof that Rick exists, much less had a vaccine, so he took in the War Memorial museum instead.Les mer

It's Turkey Day 2021 and Rick found a turkey in a plastic bag for dinner. Now that may only sound so so but the alternative was a truck stop. Given that, the truck stop was still in the lead until the auntie was upped with BACON! Yes wonderful all encompassing bacon. The turkey breast in a bag was pre seasoned and wrapped in bacon. The scales of culinary delight were tipped to an exquisite dine in experience at the famed Mingo Manor. And so it came to be. Turkey dinner at Mingo Manor 2021. Yummy.

Found a Tacky Tree

Took a break from decorating the cabin to get some inspiration at the embasy's festival of trees. It's a good start to the season. We did find a wonderfully tacky flamingo tree this year so it wasn't a bust.

We then realized we hadn't eaten since breakfast (gasp!) So headed off to 'za Hut for a little dinner.Les mer

Flippin' Cow for burgers? Sure! The host gave us the WORST table in the place, but the server was wonderful. The menu was pandemic limited. We need another shot here!

We started the day before sunrise, heading to Amish land. After picking up the Schwartz clan, we went to kids' Christmas program. From there we took Chris to the ER, then to pick up Emma's "cooler" Christmas present. Not done yet! Then to Fort Wayne and a visit to Santa. Dinner was at Portillo"s, and then it was lights time. On the way home, we went by the Heffelfinger Road house and discovered new LED bulbs.Les mer
