Oban

Today started with high hopes. Woke up to sunshine, but as we headed to the highlands and west on our Rabbies tour, the weather had other plans.
There's only 10 of us, 1 English couple and 3 American couples.
Ross our tour guide is so knowledgeable. We've learnt about Robert the Bruce, Stirling Castle, William Wallace, the Campbell Clan ( Gordon's rels) life in the highlands and lowlands and Edinburgh.
Kilchurn Castle was the the original Campbell castle ( Gordon's related to these Campbell's ) before Inveray castle was built.
St Conan's Kirk, built Walter Campbell for his grandmother because she didn't want to travel by horse and carriage to the next town, is also part of his heritage .
