Skara Brae

On the walking path to Skara Brae, there're stones showing what's happened in the world since skara Brae was built starting with man on the moon, 1969 and going backwards.; The fall of Rome 476 AD, the Temple of Solomon 972 BC, Stonehenge 2100 BC and Skara Brae 3100 BC. It's hard to believe its so old and peoe lived in these houses.
Wr also looked through Skaill House. Built in the 1700s , it is owned by the family who discovered Skara Brae. Inside is the dinner set used by Captain Cook on his fateful voyage.Read more
