Zanzibar, Stone Town

First is the entry to Zanzibar harbor even though I couldn't quite see where I was taking the picture due to the glare. Then is the house of wonders, the first multi-story building on Zanzibar and the first building with electric lights in East Africa. Doors differentiated the well to do from different cultures. The Portuguese built the original fort which the Omanis modified into their capital and meeting place.Leia mais
