La Point du Hoc

A major gun emplacement between Omaha and Utah beaches on high ground. It could defend both beaches an so was a major concern for D-Day. The first pic is one of the gun emplacements. The second is the entrance to the command/observation bunker, followed by a shot insude part of the bunker and a look out the observation port toward where the invasion fleet was.
