Bayeux

One of the few places in Normandy not bombarded (no strategic value). So the cathedral is original 11th century. Many medieval buildings remain. The first two are the cathedral. The rest are around town
I also saw the Bayeux tapestry. 1,000 years old; 1,000 feet long: telling the story of the battle of Hastings. Beautiful and impressive, but no pictures allowed.Meer informatie
