Chappelle Foujita

A small chapel designed and built by Japanese artist Foujita while living in France and after his conversion to Christianity, circa 1960s. The artwork was done by the artist. Of interest is that the paintings are frescos. They are hand painted on wet plaster by the artist using traditional techniques. I hadn't expected to be so taken by the place.Read more
