Monesterio Santo Ecce Homo

Dominican monastery from the early 1600s. First the cloister, then the church with a close-up of the altar screen. The 4th pic is of mass being said. It is a mannekin facing the altar. Most interestingly is that the altar piece is original, missing only the good overlay. This monastery also shows the local native Muisca culture. Pic 5 captures some of the artifacts plus old paintings of Muisca leaders from the time of the conquest. The last pic is a native art crucifix.Read more
