Cotopaxi National Park

Cotopaxi is an active volcano that behaved while I was there. The park surrounds the mountain. I got lucky in that the mountain that is usually hidden in clouds became visible while I was there, even though we started our walk in a light rain. The path we walked goes around a wet alpine meadow/lagoon that sits above 12,500 feet. The last 2 pics are of Andean Teal and a raptor whose name I can't recall.Read more
