Pucará de Tilcara

A Pucará is a fortress built mostly by pre-incan groups after they made the transition from nomadic hunter-gatherers to settled agricultural communities. People would retreat here when the community was threatened. There are dwellings, food and water storage, etc. This Pucará is dated to around 900 CE.
