Metropolitan Cathedral, Rio de Janeiro

I haven't posted a cathedral like this in a while. This one is modern. The architecture is said to be inspired by Mayan temples. Frankly, I find the exterior to be ugly. See the first pic. However, the interior blew me away. It is set up in the round, with huge, floor to the top of the conic structure, painted glass windows on 4 sides.
