Lanshou

City on the Yellow River at the heart of the development of Chinese civilization centuries ago. Today it's a long narrow city on both side of the Yellow River which carries a high silt load, giving the river it's characteristic color. First is a look over the city from the white Pagoda in the 4th picture. The second is a look downriver to another part of the city where the yellow color is easier to see. 3rd is the main street of this part of Lanshou, and the last is one of the temples near the white Pagoda.Read more
