Aka, temple of the dawn. Very different architecturally from other temples here. The 1st picture looks across the road ver to the temple. The rest are taken from on the temple grounds. Again, I gave tried to show both the scale and detail of the place. Amazing.
The temple's name is said to derive from the goddess Aruna who is often shown with the sunrise. This is where the day's 1st light hits the city, and the morning light is said to make the structure seem pearlescent.Weiterlesen
