    We were treated to a potluck meal in the village Hall and entertained by dancers and musicians. The costumes for both the men and women are designed to reflect the hornbill, an important bird species here. The dancers showed 2 dances, one for the hornbill with the dancers' arms mimicking wings and a harvest dance with the hand motions representing the various parts of the rice harvest. The men played traditional gongs by themselves and as accompaniment for the dancers.Read more
