    Kinabatangan

    The Kintabatangan River is the longest in Sabah. We stayed at a jungle lodge reachable only by boat. The activities here all center around wildlife. We took 2 river cruises and a night walk looking for local fauna.
    The 1st picture is a look at the river. 2nd is the highlight, even though it's almost impossible to see. At the very top of the tree is an orangutan making a nest. The next 2 are monkeys, a probocis and a pig tail macaque. Next is a pair of rare white crested hornbills. Hornbills mate for life. So they are usually found inpairs. Last is a couple of scarlet birds asleep.
