Traditional Javanese Puppets

This is another local business that rates it's own post. This is a traditional puppet carver who is also a player who does puppet shows. These puppets are characters in the Mahabharata, the ancient Indian epic. All the puppets in the pictures are hand carved, hand painted by the artist and all the costumes are hand made by his wife.
