St Nicholas Fortress, Sidenik

In the Sidenik post, I made reference to the St. Nicholas Fortress as one of the 4 fortresses protecting Sidenik and controlling the St. Anthony channel that provides access to Sidenek from the Adriatic. However, I didn't have a picture of the fortress. This makes up for that.
The 1st picture is of the fortress looking across one side channel. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th pictures look at the St. Anthony channel. The 2nd is of the modern access way out to the island. The 3rd looks out the channel, as does the 4th which locates the fortress in the channel. The last picture looks along the low water access to the fortress from the island.Read more
