    Maritime museum

    The HK Maritime Museum is located on one of the piers of the Central HK Ferry dock complex. The museum exhibits the history of HK, particularly it's harbor and shipping, beginning before the establishment of HK as a British colony.
    The 1st 3 pictures are a few examples of the models of ships in the past, showing how Chinese naval architecture developed over time.
    The next 3 pictures are examples of the historical art of the region. The 4th picture is an ancient map/navigation chart. The 5th picture is a depiction of a community. The 6th picture is part of an 18 meter long scroll depicting the defeat of pirates around the region at the Battle of Lantau Island (see other posts) in the early 19th century.
    The last picture shows some of the exhibit laying out the development of Victoria Harbor (see another post).
