• Dihamri Protected Area

    7 dicembre, Yemen ⋅ ⛅ 25 °C

This is an upland reserve set aside for preservation. It can be described as a flat valley up towards the central plateau.
While this is not the main area for the Dragon Blood Tree, they do exist here. The 1st picture is the 1st Dragon Blood Tree I've seen. Their name comes from the red sap the tree exudes when damaged. The sap is used as a dye and medicinally, among other uses.
The 2nd is a bottle tree in flower.
Homhill infinity pool is a natural infinity pool perched at the top of a limestone cliff with a view to the ocean. The next 3 pictures are all taken there: a look at the pool; a look at the view; and a closer look at the pool.
The next 3 pictures look at the landscape of this protected area. In particular, the next last picture is a stand of frankincense, and the last picture is of some Dragon Blood Trees in silhouette on a ridge line.
