    Cliffs of Mohr

    June 5, 2016 in Ireland ⋅ ⛅ 18 °C

Well, we finally made it to the cliffs. I was a little anxious about taking the ferry ride as it seems a lot of people were getting on the boat. It was probably one of Jon's highlights however as he got to talk with some fishermen and was showing me where the traps were and how you knew which side of them to approach from to hook them. Heading out to the cliffs we had a personal escort out of the pier. Once to the cliffs they were amazing! So glad we did do the ferry ride to see them. They are home to the largest sea bird colony. Over 3000 birds nest there each year....thus their lovely white coloring. The area has been a no fly zone since the 1970's (sorry Chris) to protect the birds. Once we got back to shore we headed towards Kilkearny.Read more
