Picture of the very old and historic St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Surprising a building can look so good for having stood as long as this one has. Again, the design on the stone are very impressive plus it was extra cool since I am Catholic.

Carly’s forehead and me outside Ben Franklin’s Post Office. This was just a hop, skip, and a jump away from where his home actually stood. Pretty neat think we walked in the same area he did at the beginning of founding the United States.

Picture of the front entrance to the lantern festival in Philadelphia. Really neat to see a whole other culture and the tradition involved. The crafts, music, lights, and of course all the lanterns made for a fun night of absorbing Chinese culture.

A picture of the Free Masons building out in front of the Philadelphia City Hall. Regardless of if you are into architecture or not, you cannot help but be amazed at what people could do with simple tools back in the day.

Picture of Carly and I outside the Salvation Army warehouse where we boxed toys to be distributed to kids for the holidays. This day was very rewarding, and playing with some of the toys as you boxed them away was fun too.

Picture of all of us with some two girls who had gotten out of school and rode the same bus home that we were on back to Kensington. Talking to these girls were interesting. We also played multiple games to pass the time. If I learned anything, you definitely tell they were related with how much they fought!Read more

Statue of Benjamin Franklin seen on the Mural Mile tour. One cannot help but wonder what he would think of how Philadelphia has grown and expanded, and how his inventions have advanced today. Would he be proud of what has been accomplished?

The main lobby of Apple Hostels, the second place that we stayed during our trip. After the first couple days of work and staying in the loft, moving to the inner city was a very nice, and much needed, change of pace.

Another picture at the lantern festival viewing one of the many performances done that night. These two ladies were acrobats/contortionists and did some very incredible things such as this maneuver here. They also manage to fit themselves in small barrels, perform plate spinning, and other things.
