The Rocca d'Anfo is a system of military fortifications of great historical and scenic interest. It occupies an area of about 50 hectares on the western shore of Lake Idro (BS), near the ancient border between Lombardy and Tyrol, between Valle Sabbia and Valli Giudicarie.

The military complex, erected in the 15th century by the Republic of Venice and considerably enlarged during the Napoleonic era, represents a unique regional and national element in terms of size and historical importance.

The Rocca d'Anfo is made up of around 34 main artefacts – including barracks, powder magazines, military batteries – connected by walkways, stairways and underground routes that take the visitor through the main Italian historical events from the Venetian Republic to the present day. A real jewel set on the shores of Lake Idro where history, culture, nature and sport come together for a unique experience.
