Biarritz

Biarritz is a city on the Bay of Biscay, on the Atlantic coast in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department in the French Basque Country in southwestern France. It is located 35 kilometres (22 mi) from the border with Spain.

The Château d'Ilbarritz is located in the north of the commune of Bidart in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques[1], at the top of Handia Hill[2], avenue de la Reine-Nathalie. It was built in 1897 for Baron Albert de l'Espée, a wealthy, eccentric and misanthropic heir.
