And we are off!

Our flight to Calgary doesn’t leave until noon and I have to say that getting up in a leisurely way is something I’d recommend. It seems as all our other travels start ridiculously early in the morning! We said goodbye to Evan and Walter and off we went.

Brad and I made it to the airport in plenty of time to enjoy a coffee, review the very little Japanese we’ve learned, and board our flight to Calgary. On the way to Japan, we upgraded to premium seating. While it isn’t the super-cool lay-flat seats, it’s still a step up from sitting three-across with little leg room.

We made it to Calgary without incident. We only have an hour and a half to wait until we board our flight to Japan, which is a 10.5 hour flight. We will be arriving in Tokyo at 4:30pm (Tuesday), but I will try to update when we get there!Read more
