    Day 2

    Ciemetere du Montparnasse

    May 19, 2022 in France ⋅ ⛅ 75 °F

The Montparnasse Cemetery has been in use since 1824. According to Wiki The cemetery is roughly 47 acres and is the second largest cemetery in Paris. The cemetery has over 35,000 graves and approximately a thousand people are buried here each year.
I made a beeline straight on 'main' Ave just to catch some of the Graves I wanted to visit (see pictures)
Unfortunately I came in too late in the day as the cemetery closes around 6 p.m. therefore I missed the graves of Auguste Bartoldi and Man Ray which I would have also laugh to visit, but they were in the farther sections.
I am sure the names of the people whose graves pictures I took are familiar to pretty much everybody save for the one with the pelican bird and that one I took for the art of it if you will
