Goodnight Irene
June 11, 2022 in Spain ⋅ ☀️ 75 °F
Seems more rain is coming tomorrow so I am planning for a bit of a rough day doing 25km and having a meeting with Destiny
Cruz de Ferro is only 8km away....
And I might have found a way to includeRead more
If it's raining, and you have some problems with your feet, it wouldn't hurt if you walked at least a part of the Camino before el Acebo on the road, the Camino goes very steeply to el Acebo with a lot of loose stones (just like after Alto de Perdon. When you see a telecommunication tower to your right you may want to stick to the road, or just be supercareful on Real Camino (last 4 km before El Acebo). Good luck! [Happy Pilgrim 🐧]
Oh wait! You are not going just to El Acebo, you said 25 km, so... to Molinaseca? Oh man. Please don't do it if it's raining. The last part between Riego de Ambros and Molinaseca is even worse... You must realize that you need to lose 3000 ft of altitude between Cruz de Ferro and Molinaseca... its a lot! El Acebo has a very good hostel El Casa de Peregrino in case you wanted to finish the stage there. Buen Camino! [Happy Pilgrim 🐧🐧]
Traveler for better or worse have a place already reserved in Molinaseca. Latest outlook is that the rains will hold off until afternoon so should be pretty much off the hill but will take your advice into consideration if need be
It seems the rain will hold off until you are at the bottom of the mountain. Great! Enjoy the magnificent views on the way down to the Bierzo Valley! Share some pictures later on. You are doing great, take care! [🐧]
