• Dinner an exploring downtown Lee

    As per habit, we eat out our first night, so we took a short drive to downtown Lee and stopped at Locker Room Sports Bar.
    Laurie had French Dip aptly washed down with Yengling and I hit Flatbread Special, which was Flank Steak with corn and beans salsa and chimichurry sauce & opted for a local Cider.
    We then took a walk through historic downtown Lee.
    Lee (pop.of all 5,788 people) occupies land that was originally territory of Mahican Indians. The first non-native settlement in the area was known as Dodgetown as early as 1760. Lee was incorporated in 1777 and is named after Revolutionary War General Charles Lee, not ( much to my dismay) Marse Rob't.
    Afterward, we made a run to a local supermarket for some supplies and returned to the resort to unwind from the travel day.
