  • Day 2 Waimea Canyon

    November 1, 2025 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 23 °C

We woke up so early and started out for Waimea Canyon but stopped at Starbucks first for our morning coffee. We went to the farthest look out and saw the edge of the Napali Coast at sunrise then went down the road to take a long walk to look at a little waterfall and Waimea Canyon. It took us 2 hours or more. We then stopped at the Aloha Festival and watched some Hula competitions honoring Queen Emma that died years ago. Stopped off in Waimea at the Shrimp Shack and Jo Jo's Shaved ice. Finally made it to our room and going to bed. Good night!Read more

  • Day 3 Sunday

    November 3, 2025 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 23 °C

It rained very hard this morning, cleared up but cloudy in the afternoon and rained hard this evening. We had a day of shopping and eating and enjoying the sights. Like a pretty church that was once the Queens Church and had beautiful singing in the Hawaiian "Polynesian" language.Read more

  • Day 4 Lazy Day

    November 4, 2025 in the United States ⋅ ☁️ 23 °C

Today was snorkel rental day and we thought we were going on a dinner cruise of the Nepali Coast but plans changed. The ocean swells were 8 to 10 feet and Im sure I would have been sea sick, so we were able to change our reservation. Thank goodness. ( I did find a cute outfit in the snorkel shop for the cruise. Bummer I wont be using it on our next cruise.) Salt Pond Beach was close by so snorkeling was our enjoyment for the evening, then on to Dukes for dinner. It was a fun experience. Aloha.Read more

  • Day 5 Hanaleigh and Opeka Falls

    November 5, 2025 in the United States ⋅ ☁️ 23 °C

Another chill day. Ran to Hanaleigh and had coffee and relaxed looking at the beautiful mountains. Stopped and looked at a pretty little church, then down to the beach. The waters were not good for snorkeling and then we were warned about a shark sighting from the lifeguard and to enter at our own risk. No thank you! We drove to Kapaa for a farmers market and continued on to find a beach in Lihue. Took a nap on the beach. Drove back to Kapaa for Chicken in a barrel dinner. So yummy. Finished the night in the hot tub. Fun day!Read more

  • Day 6 Sunrise, Coffee, Beaches

    November 6, 2025 in the United States ⋅ ☁️ 23 °C

We had a full day. Sunrise on Mana Oka'aina beach then on to Java Kai for coffee and a lizard sighting. Waimea Falls were beautiful but the rainbow after was a pretty sight also. Old Kaloa Town is just a pretty stop with the surfboards and old history. Poi'pu for snorkeling and sea turtles was amazing. We grabbed Puka dogs while we were there. I wasn't as impressed with them as I thought I would be. Ended our day with a fire dance show. It waa good for a small venue.Read more

  • Day 7 Helicopter Ride, Pineapple Tour

    November 7, 2025 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 27 °C

I went on the most wonderful helicopter ride on Kauai. Then to the Hole in the Mount White Sugar Loaf Pineapple plantation. We planted and picked Pineapple. Its delicious. We got to take the Pineapple we picked. We rounded up the day at Tahiti Nui for dinner. The most delicious fish dinner. I forgot to mention that I heard someone call my name in the middle of busy Kaola town, and new it wasn't Ang or Tiffany, It was Rachel! I was so excited and couldn't believe we ran into each other. So neat.Read more

  • Day 8 Last Day Going Home

    November 7, 2025 in the United States ⋅ 🌙 23 °C

Angela had to reschedule our flights because of flight delays, so we are leaving a day earlier than planned. Our Cattamaran Snorkeling Cruise along the Nepali Coast was first on our agenda. I was worried about getting seasick but I did fine. It was such an awesome experience. We saw turtles, dolphins, flying fish, and so many different varieties of fish while sailing and snorkeling. The Nepali Coast is so beautiful. We stopped and had our last shaved ice and ate at Bubbas before setting off to the airport. Sad to leave but I will enjoy getting home. Aloha.Read more
