A brief magnitude 6.2 earthquake woke us up at 6:19am May 22 local time in Santorini. After breakfast and a last morning stroll in Kamari we went back to Fira to catch the high speed ferry to Heraklion on the island of Crete.

While in Heraklion, we strolled the streets inside this old Venetian walled city, visited the ancient ruins of the Knossos Palace ( built about 1700 BC), toured the Archaeological Museum and spent a half day on the Ammoudora beach.
