First steps in New York

After freshening up at the hotel, I made my way to a subway station. There are several of them around the hotel. 1, 2, 3, in red, A, C, E in blue, 4, 5 in green, B, D, M in orange and N, Q, R, W in yellow. 🤯 Do you recognize a pattern? I don't. I then walked to South Ferry Station, from there line 1 goes to 34th Street - Penn Station, right in front of Madison Square Garden Arena. Once there, I realize that New York is simply bigger than anything I've seen before. Skyscrapers as far as the eye can see, people everywhere, cars everywhere. But it feels good. Not oppressive or overcrowded. I went around the arena once, then got in line at one of the many entrances and jumped into the next experience. Let's go Rangers let's go!

Nach dem ich mich im Hotel frisch gemacht habe, habe ich mich auf dem Weg zu einer U-Bahn Station gemacht. Davon gibt es Rund um das Hotel einige. 1, 2, 3, in rot, A, C, E in blau, 4, 5 in grün, B, D, M in orange und N, Q, R, W in gelb. 🤯 Erkennt ihr ein Muster? Ich nicht. Ich bin dann zur South Ferry Station gelaufen, von da fährt die Linie 1 zur 34th Street - Penn Station, direkt vor die Madison Square Garden Arena. Dort angekommen merke ich dann, dass New York einfach größer ist als alles was ich bisher gesehen habe. Wolkenkratzer soweit das Auge reicht, überall Menschen, überall Autos. Aber es fühlt sich gut an. Nicht erdrückend oder überfüllt. Ich bin dann einmal um die Arena rum, um mich dann an einen der vielen Eingänge anzustellen und mich ins nächste Erlebnis zu stürzen.
