9/11 Memorial

One of those events that I will never forget in my life. Back then, during my training, it was on all the TVs down in the workshop. When you stand between the two pools and realize how close the buildings were to each other, or can estimate roughly from the new One World Trade Center skyscraper how high the other two used to be, then you really realize how difficult the rescue was and how big the catastrophe was.

Eines dieser Ereignisse, das ich nie im Leben vergessen werde. Damals während der Ausbildung lief das auf allen Fernsehern unten in der Werkstatt. Wenn man dann zwischen den beiden Pools steht, und merkt wie dicht die Häuser beieinander standen, oder anhand des neuen One World Trade Center Hochhauses ungefähr abschätzen kann wie hoch die beiden anderen mal waren, dann merkt man erst wirklich wie schwierig die Rettung und wie groß die Katastrophe gewesen ist.Read more
