The High Line and the Observation Deck

Another highlight for me that I would much rather have experienced in sunshine is the High Line and the Observation Deck. A section of the former elevated railroad was converted into a park here. The High Line is 1.45 miles long. It starts in the beautiful West Village neighborhood where many old houses still stand, the streets are full of small stores, and you can have the feeling of not being in a big city (Washington Street). It passes through the Chelsea neighborhood, which feels more like New York and a big city again, here is also the Observation Deck overlooking the end point of the High Line: the Vessel and the Edge.

Ein weiteres Highlight für mich, das ich viel lieber bei Sonnenschein erlebt hätte ist die High Line und das Observation Deck. Ein Abschnitt der ehemaligen Hochbahn wurde hier zu einem Park umgewandelt. Die High Line ist 1.45 Meilen lang. Sie startet im wunderschönen Stadtteil West Village in dem noch viele alte Häuser stehen, die Straßen voller kleiner Läden sind, und man das Gefühl haben kann nicht in einer Großstadt zu sein (Washington Street).
