    July 15 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 12 °C

We are staying in Gracemere Caravan Park. This is the best park I've been in for ages. No hype. No fuss. No children. Quite a few people live here permanently. And they take so much pride in their homes. Immaculate clean pool thats way to cold to swim in.

    I'll post some photos tomorrow.

We visited the Rockhampton Art Gallery today.

The burning man candle was incredible. The man, the fridge, everything in the fridge is all wax, a great big candle. It is visiting this gallery and will burn to nothing but melted wax. Then its sent back to artist who will remake again and send to another gallery. I have included the art gallery write up.

The huge coloured painting has just won $50,000 prize. Mind blowing prize money.

And the psychedelic paintings that move when you put the app on your phone. Very unusual. I forgot to take a photo of the installation information.

We then went for a walk in the city. So much preserved architecture in this city. The new somehow blends with the old.

We will take more time to look around in October when we are staying at Yepoon for a week.

We went up to Mt Archer lookout. Ate our sandwichs, and watched a man fly his drone taking photos. We missed the tree top walk. Oops, again we will do this again when we return. I did not realise that the mountainscwere so big around Rockhampton. This would have been like Eden to the Aboriginal people. So much food, water, shelter. My Dad was born in Rockhampton. 1939.

We did some groceries, bought a new UNO card game, washed the car, and arranged for an auto electrician for caravans to look at our solar charge from roof. Warranty. Arctic will pay for this. Something is still not right. But all's good. We are being looked after.
