• Cape Tribulation Daintree

    August 5 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 22 °C

On Wednesday we went across the Daintree River on the ferry. We drove as far as we could to the start of the Bloomfield track.

There is a terrible quality video on here but it is very funny of our drive.

This entire area is very commercially run. So many resorts. Lots of businesses vieing for your dollars. I think about 500 permanently live in this area.

There is still plenty of free stuff to do for walks and siteseeing.

We enjoyed the drive, the views, the boardwalks. It was another wet day.

I discovered so many different plants I had never seen. I particularly love the Large Fruited Red Mahogany tree. Photo in here.

We did not wander down beach's and certainly not near water edge.

A German tourist luckily survived but lost a leg while sunbathing close to water at Port Douglas.

So we have visited in unseasonable wet winter weather and have not swum anywhere at all yet. Still to cool for us in the mountain streams you can swim at or the pool.
