Knocking around in Inverness

After our bang-up yesterday, Sean is attending to the rental car so we’re out and about. So first, Coffee at The Grain and Grind while waiting for our laundry. The folks at Riverness Laundrette were great- transferring our wash to the dryer while we were out for coffee.
Chuck Taylor’s are really popular here. We used to call them “Converse All-Stars”. I actually played in them back in the day.
Stopped at the Tavern Pub for lunch. The food was ok but nothing special.
Thought it’d be best to go ahead and pick up our train tickets for Thursday’s return to Edinburg.
Walked through the Victorian Market. Mostly some jewelers and some cheesy souvenir shops. A few shops featuring local craftsmen.
Accident update: Sean was given an electric Peugeot with almost no charge on it. Getting it charged was problematic. You have to use a charge card tied to your UK cell phone. With no UK phone, one must use your web browser. Pain in the rear.Read more
