    Speyer and Heidelberg

    Docked at Speyer and since it was Easter Sunday the guide led us to the Speyer Dom, which the world’s largest surviving Romanesque Church. Beautiful structure out of pink sandstone with unique crypts of German Kings and Queens. The carrolan rang for 10 minutes as the choir, congregation and church clergy arrived. After some photos we moved onto the Technik Museum with all kinds of transportation examples, like old cars,, airplanes, trains, etc.

    On to Heidelberg and a long drive up the hill to the Heidelberg Castle and the town of Heidelberg- more later.
