    Sante Fe (New Mexico)

    2023年10月2日, アメリカ ⋅ 🌬 21 °C

Today we arrived in the charming Sante Fe in the Sangre de Cristo foothills of New Mexico. Santa Fe was founded as a Spanish colony in 1610 and is renowned for its Pueblo-style architecture and as a creative arts hotbed today. In the afternoon we went to the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum to see the wonderful paintings of this renowned American artist who spent much of her time in New Mexico. Sante Fe is known as ‘The City Different’ and certainly is - in the best of ways.もっと詳しく

旅行者Not wrong! We’ve had that convo with many Americans. They typically can’t take much leave maybe a couple of weeks a year and typically take it in bits and pieces cos they are afraid to ask for their full entitlement as they might get sacked. They generally could never get 4+ weeks off in a row ! We are very lucky in Australia!

旅行者I’ve heard that! Their health care is apparently f***ed too! We are, indeed lucky. Having said that; I’m pretty sure Australians see less of our own country than we do elsewhere too! It seems to be the way. I know that once I look into travelling in Australia 🇦🇺 it always results in me deciding overseas travel is more economical. That’s kinda sad 😞

旅行者Just chiming in very late to say that yes, the US has a million and one societal problems. LOL. Let's hope Trump 2024 is not the next clusterf***. And @Jason, I've seen the East Coast, West Coast, parts of the MidWest and South, but now I really want to go to the American Northwest, which I've always wanted to visit. I'm going to be so sad when this trip is over. It's a lot of fun to follow.
