Arrived on Joyvela in the afternoon after a short flight and Taxi ride. Met the crew Tom, Paige, and Marc.
Went immediately into boat prep mode and started to do repairs and preparations.

Getting ready to leave Palma!

The new Iridium is still not working but we can fix on the way. Changing the long term mooring lines to temporary ones and did a the little prep works who are necessary for the start.
Leaving for the trip!

At exactly 11:00 we slipped the lines and we left with a big peng.
Many people showed up to say goodbye and wish us good luck for our trip.
First sail+first victims (Cup&Generator)

Left Palma at just 4 hours ago and had 2 victims already. Thomas dropped a cup and the Generator had no water cooling and melted the waterlock.
Got sailing though almost to much sail up.

Gibraltar Runway

Motoring through the Gibralter straight

The Strait of Gibraltar is good and bad with us. No waves or bad swell, but 3.5knots against us. Otherwise a beautiful morning with a gorgeous view to Europe and Africa at the same time🤩🤩
Dolphins and flat Atlantic🐬🐬

Beautiful morning 🌄 ! No waves but also no wind. Some friends visited us and enjoyed our bow for some time.
Kanisters leak repair + fast progress

We got some higher waves now and Thomas smelled some Diesel smell in his cabin 🤧. We got all the cherry cans out and try to seal the lids as good as possible. We also had to clean and drain the bilge👃
Good food and repairs

3 Sails 🤩🤩

Low wind from behind forced us to be creative and got 3 sails up.
Land ho

Arrived in Tenerife at night. No Berth!!

Sailed pass Tenerife through the night and arrived at the south side to Puerto Colon in the early hours. No space for us so we had to wait at the fuel dock to fill up and sail to another Marina.
Change of Marina & serious Problem

Found two bolts at the vang mount without head. Tried to remove another one and broke of 😱😔
Marina Amarillo & spare parts hunt

We got a rental car and spent most of the day finding spare parts for the iridium and fixed stuff on the boat.
Luckily we have two rental cars available.
