Croc River Rest Stop

Today we head East as we make our way to Cooktown.

We had a drive through Mary Kathleen Town a now deserted townsite that was once a bustling town that housed workers for the nearby uranium mine. Now just a bunch of concrete pads.

Thought we would pay a visit to the Burke & Wills memorial only to discover someone had pinched the plaque 😳😔

Checked out Chinaman Creek Dam and painted silo at Cloncurry before turning north. A quick stop at Quamby for lunch and onto tonight’s watering hole on the banks of the Flinders River.Read more
