Lightning Ridge

Today we set our compass for Lightning Ridge. Along the way we passed Nindigully Pub, the oldest licensed operating pub in Australia (since 1864). We passed Thallons painted silos and stopped in Dirranbandi for lunch at a popular bakery (let me tell you it’s not popular with us 😖). Then a couple of Km before the border back into NSW we stopped at the Hebel pub, infamous for being a watering hole of the Kelly Gang and being a Cobb & Co Staging Post.
