    We continue on our quest to Vietnam. We start our day after breakfast with Nitza Lowenstein lecture “ Good morning Vietnam “, Discover Country and Culture. Discovered the unique culture, customs, architecture and cuisine of the Vietnamese.
    Perfect timing since we will be in Vietnam starting tomorrow.
    Next at 11:00 am is Guest Lecturer Dr. Will Friedwald “Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Great American Songbook”. We traced the evolution of the First Lady of songs.
    Myron has choir practice at 2:00 and Diana is attending Russell Lee’s “The Nine-Dash Line: Who Owns the South China Sea?”Where we dived into the ongoing territorial dispute between 7 Asian states over land and water rights.
    At 6:30 tonight we again could be found in the Star Theater to hear Viking Resident Historian Iconic Lecture with Dr. Robert Cribb: "History of Indochina."
    Explore the tangled histories of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.
    We are really enjoying the history of Vietnam as our only reference had been the Vietnam war. So much history in this part of the world. Vietnam’s first ruler was in 297 BCE. China has been a huge influence and depending when in history a friend or foe.
    Dr. Cribb’s lecture wasn’t until 6:30 so following that we had dinner in the World Cafe.
    We have a very busy next few days so Diana retired to the cabin.
