    03.13.2024 Koh Samui, Thailand

    March 13 in Thailand ⋅ ⛅ 79 °F

Today we are in Koh Samui, Thailand.
Koh Samui, Thailand’s second largest island, lies in the Gulf of Thailand off the east coast of the Kra Isthmus. It's known for its palm-fringed beaches, coconut groves and dense, mountainous rainforest, plus luxury resorts and posh spas.
We had a 6.5 hour Optional excursion with Viking.:
Island Of Koh Pha Ngan and Snorkel
Enjoy an invigorating speedboat ride through the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Thailand to Koh Pha Ngan. Thailand’s fifth-largest island, beautiful Koh Pha Ngan is renowned for its lush green mountainous landscape, white-sand beaches and crystalline waters, which are a favored spot for diving and snorkeling due to the wealth of marine life that call these waters home. Upon arrival, disembark your boat and enjoy time to relax among the beautiful surroundings or take a swim in the ocean. You will also have an opportunity to snorkel from your boat off the shores of Koh Ma, a tiny nearby island off the coast of Koh Pha Ngan. Don your snorkel, then slip beneath the water to explore a rich underwater world full of marine life and colorful coral reefs. Later, enjoy lunch in a local restaurant,
We take the tender, then a van, then a speedboat and finally get to the beach. The snorkeling was good. The pictures are on the underwater camera so will post later.
We return to the ship and have dinner on the pool deck. It is a BBQ. Well done Viking!
A magician is performing in the theatre.
We move clocks forward tonight so we lose an hour.
A few pics of us on the beach and a few pics of street life in Koh Samui.
