BATANTA WATERFALLS: the big one

The hike to the big waterfall was quite difficult. Mud would get until above the ankles, we walked through the river current, climbed rocks... we weren't expecting that! But the big waterfall was something overwhelming to see, and made all the effort worth it!!!! Under the rocks there were small oases with trees and vegetation, I never saw something like that! It looked like the planet of Avatar! (What was the name? )
The water temperature was sensibly colder than the sea water, so we swam in those waters and went into that small grotto underneath. Splashes were mostly okay but one of them was too powerful to put your body underneath.
