Grace's Home

Ended up here in effort to go to Akanda National Park. Grace runs Monday Ecotour with tours to Akanda. However, she requires at least a day's notice. This was apparently not communicated to her by the company where I hired the car and driver from yesterday. In any event it is an expensive outing where somehow my desire got lost in translation.

In the end I got to visit inside a Gabon home of an apparently connected family. Gracie's mom is President of The Local Chamber of Commerce who has met Pope Paul and many local heavyweights. Her deceased father was a game hunter and their home still displays some of his hunting trophies.Read more
