I decide this morning I'm going to make the most of having a pool. I set up stall and get chatting to 2 girls Louise and Maddy. Its strange how after 5 mins you can have a connection with someone and I cheekily ask if I can go for breakfast with them. We head to the patcharee Bakery which without doubt is the best coffee on the island. We walk towards the beach and i hear Fiona its Henry and James from Phuket and they give me a big hug introduce me to their Canadian friends and we promise that we will catch up at the full moin party if not before The afternoon is spent in my favourite spot joined by "the locals" Chris and Brian before Brian takes me to view my new abode. I love it and book instantly for a week. At £10 per night with a beautiful Seaview I can't go wrong. I take dinner in Anna's named after the owners daughter who sadly lost her life in the tsunami and as I'm bent down putting my shoes on I hear my name called. It's the girls and I join them for a drink while they eat before heading to the Irish bar. There's a great atmosphere in here tonight and the tennis final is followed by the football. Go on Mo Salah. The Moroccans in the bar don't agree so much. We spend till the early hours on the beach drinking buckets of cocktails and on the way home come across a very drunken Irish lad who im barely able to understand. He doesn't know where he's staying and can barely stand up so I tell him to give me his phone and in the history on Google maps is his hotel. He's adamant he wants cheese and ham toasties from the 7/11 and its just round the corner. He buys everyone toasties and we usher him home an arm over each of our shoulders to keep him steady. Our good deed done for the day we make our way back home.Read more
