The second goodbye

I wake this morning and Ged and Darryl have already been out and got the coffees. The guys head back to Singapore today but we have a few hours before they catch their bus. I once again pack up as I'm moving to a place closer to the center especially after how difficult it was to get a taxi last night. We all decide to go for a coffee but thrres literally nothing open but eventually we find a cafe decorated with Japanese toys and get a half decent coffee.We are going to where Asha is staying to grab a bite to eat and then she will drop them to the bus station. I always hate goodbyes but somehow I think I will see them again before I head home. I get a taxi to my new place and although its back to the bare necessities I only use my room to sleep in so it doesn't bother me. When i arrive theres a metal door shutter outside and no sign of life but after sending a message the owner lets me in. I literally drop my bag and head out and in the shop outside an older man asks me where I'm going. I stop to talk to him and he walks me down towards the river and en route invites me into his shop. Its an antique/brick a brac shop but instead of trying to sell me something he takes me into the back where there are 3 other men and invites me to sit and take tea with them. They all speak pretty good English and what they can't the guy who took me there called Leow translates for me. I sit with them for a good few hours and the tea turns to a couple of beers before I leave to grab food. I need money so walk towards the shopping centre and even though I'm not into fast food I've been told to try the KFC here. Shortly after I get a message from James who was supposed to be riding back to Kuala Lumpur on his bike but before he hit the highway the rain came in and he's coming back to Melaka. We enjoy a few drinks by the river and joined by Declan make our way to Medusa night club. The dance offs continue and considering I left Phi Phi to calm things down I get in at 430 in the morning.Læs mere
