The journey starts with a train from Liverpool to the airport, ideally I'd fly out of Liverpool but the return flights to Cancun are only £300. We board the plane on time and an announcement comes over the tannoy for a Ivor viking, I think they are having a laugh but that is his real name. The flight arrives slightly early but once in Mexico that's where it stops. I find my way to bus stand 69 where I catch a bus to downtown Cancun but on the way the traffic is crazy and I just about make my connection but honestly without being able to ask directions in Spanish I would never have made. 20 mins into the journey we come to a standstill and I'm stuck for over an hour and when we get to the place where the crash is there are more than 10 cars and wagons and at least 5 of them are a total write off. Eventually past the buses first stop is playa de Carmen, where I decide to try and jump off and have a ciggies but as I go round the back of the bus to avoid attention I can hear a whistle being blown repeatedly and when I turn round it's me they're blowing at "no fumar"no smoking 😂 back on the bus it is but as tired as I am I just can't sleep. The last three hours of the journey really drag but as I get off the bus Bobby is waiting. I'm really glad as there is hardly anyone about and it's a 20min walk to the hotel and not a taxi in sight. As soon as I get in I literally get straight into bed while Bobby has a beer in the room and I'm away with the fairies in minutes.Baca lagi
