    Indonesians are sensible, just like Aussies. Give them a public holiday in the middle of the week and they take the whole week off.
    Tomorrow is Idul Fitri, the end of Ramadan and a public holiday. It's like our Christmas. Everybody goes home to their village to see their families.
    So today just about everything is closed. Even the beggars and bentok (motor rickshaw) drivers are on holidays. I can walk down the street without being hassled. The only busy place is the port to the offshore island villages.
    I walked to the Museum of Makassar even though I knew it would be closed. Then got a pedal rickshaw back to the hotel as it was only one around. They're not really designed for big bule (foreigners).
